Our culinary schools are held at Lorella's country hous. You will stay at B.& B. Tenuta La Pila, a recently restored large ex Veneto farm house which is now a stunning B.& B. set in a beautiful and quite location just 5 minutes drive from Lorella country house. Just half an hour driving from the B.& B. , you will get the most important and amazing Veneto cities like Verona ,Padua, Mantua, Venice,Lake of Garda, Valpolicella hills and more.
A week in one of our culinary schools at Lorella country house, will allow you to immerse yourself in the culture and lifestyle of Veneto and learn how to cook real Italian dishes in a relaxed and friendly environment. You will learn the passion of the Italian kitchen and, importantly, have a lot of fun and enjoyment doing it.
Our culinary schools in Italy are held by Lorella Cappellato , a locally studied by the most famous Italian cookery schools ( Sadler – Melotti – Pastry school of Chioggia just to name a few ), and who worked in Italy and Usa as well with very important chefs.
Lorella's culinary schools offer complete hands on courses designed to teach you to make authentic 4 course Italian lunches covering all the basic Italian cooking techniques, from pasta to pastries and everything in between.
Most of the ingredients used in our culinary schools are bought each morning from local markets or directly picked up from Lorella's kitchen-garden, so you will be working with fresh fruit and vegetables in season. Throughout your time at Lorella country house you will learn about the ingredients and the traditions around the dishes as well as food presentation and wine choice.
All our culinary schools courses run from Sunday to Saturday and include 4 elaborate hands-on cooking sessions with enough time to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Upon request, one day excursion will be organized to visit a vineyard for wine tasting, as well as a local lunch in a typical Verona Hills restaurant.
It is also possible to bring along a non-participating partner to our culinary schools who can spend the morning sightseeing, or biking , and then rejoin the party for lunch..
